Hey editors, I'm not the coordinator of this contest nor am I affiliated with its production - I'm merely a participant but I want to make sure you know about it.

Deadlines:
Registration deadline: JANUARY, 10.
Video upload deadline: JANUARY, 15.

*Note - the registration deadline was changed from December to January.

This contest is premiere only, meaning your video can not have been posted anywhere online before premiering on the Akross website. There are a lot of specific requirements you have to pay close attention to to qualify to participate but they're not difficult.

I'm advocating for this contest because of its diversity. There are currently 45 different countries participating, so you get a lot of exposure. Akross is not a convention, it is an online contest only. It's open to all levels of editors from amateur to professional.

DISCLAIMER: I feel I should warn anyone new to editing and/or competitions, participants in Akross are not known for being nice or sugar coating their comments. However, they do remember/recognize you and will tell you if you've improved from previous years/works.

No haha totaly random, i just referred to last years. When they ask for donations, if i'm not lost. But as a french editor, i need to share my hate of this contest HAHAHA But nothing bad, in reality i just don't care.
